Shyok- und Nubratal: Ensa Gompa

Das etwa 250 Jahre alte Kloster Ensa befindet sich auf einem Felsvorsprung etwa 30 km taleinwärts vom Zusammenfluss des Shyok und des Nubra Flusses, auf der orographisch rechten Seite des Nubratales. Auf der gegenüberliegenden Talseite liegt Panamik, die letzte für den Tourismus zugängliche Ortschaft im Nubratal, die auch für ihre heißen, heilkräftigen Quellen bekannt ist.

Ensa Gompa is an over 250 years old monastery located on a hilltop in the Nubra valley about 30 kms from the confluence of Shyok and Nubra river. Panamik on the opposite side is the final village that is open to tourists in the Nubra valley. it is well known for its hot and medicinal springs.

Wie in Hunza wachsen auch im Shyok Tal hervorragende Aprikosen, deren Produkte direkt von den Bauern vertrieben werden.

Like in Hunza excellent apricots are growing in the Shyok valley which are merchandised directly by the local farmers.
