Langtang Trek: Tsergo Ri

Tsergo Ri (4.984 m) is a nice vantage point which can easily be accessed from Kyanjin. Unlike Yala Peak no ice equipment is necessary but you need sufficient acclimatisation which can be obtained by several hikes around Kyangjin.

During the ascent of Tsergo Ri Dragpoche (6.592 m) appears to the north as well as Langtang Lirung (7.246 m) to the west.

Summit panorama of Tsergo Ri which - according to the DAV map 'Langthang Himal East' - is not anymore a 5.000 metre peak (4.984 m). Anyway the magnificent panorama is not at all influenced by this fact:

Continuing to the right Yala Peak (5.420 m), which affords an additional overnight stay at Yala Alm and also ice equipment as the ascent route crosses the glacier to the left. In the background Pemthang Karpo Ri.
