Trekking: Chukurak Pass - Kulikalonseen

During the next two days we are hikng through the phantastic alpine scenery of the Fan range to the turquois-coloured Chukurak- and Kulikalon lakes. The first pass to cross is Guitan (2.600 m) between Zimtut and the Chukurak lakes. Well acclimatised by now we then traverse the Chukurak pass (3.180 m) on the next day and enjoy an extraordinary view of the north face of Miraly (5.120 m) and peak Maria (4.970 m) high above the Kulikalon lakes.

After spending the night in the familiar atmosphere of the guesthouse in Zimtut we set off for our next aim: a 5 hours walk to Guitan pass (2.600 m) and Camp 5 down at the Chukarak lake.

On the next day we hike up to the top of Chukarak pass (3.180) where we have a nice view of Lake Kulikalon and the glaciers of Adamtash (4700 m), Pik Promejutochny (4810 m), Mirali (5120 m) and Maria (4.970 m).

Lager 6 liegt am Kulikalon See auf etwa 2800 m Höhe.

Camp 6 (2.800 m) is situated at the shore of Lake Kulikalon.

Gnarly Cedars are lining the path along the shore of Lake Kulikalon and even the moon above Pik Promejutochny (4.810 m) shows itself in its best light.
